English speaking synonymous with beauty and brains?

The
modern English is widely spoken and is known as lingua franca of the
modern world. It is an international language of communication in
science, busness, aviation, entertainment ,radio and diplomacy. I
believe, English speaking has zero significance in relation to prove
that one is beautiful and intelligent, BUT one needs to have a good commmand over the linguistic ability of the national language.Abilty
to speak well in ones own respective language reflects the breeding
and the education background.
However, a congenial hold over English as an
international language will definitely endorse a personality!

Beauty or brains?

Beauty is how you feel inside and it reflects in your eyes. Its not something physical. Feeling good about yourself is the connection between beauty and self image. The more comfortable you are in your own skin the more beautiful you are. The best cosmetic a women can apply to look beautiful is by taking joy in the living! I believe one can win the crown with beauty but one needs to have brains to carry that crown with grace and charishma!

Tenderness is tranquil.

I am 25. I have completed my grad school.

Today,I raced into Crosswords. I quickly bought a book and some paraphernalias. I was then just surfing through the assembelage of books when I reached the children's section. I felt at peace with this world.
I ached for a moment to stop. I was yearning for something else. I envisaged my mom and dad.....General knowledge books...... Drawing books....and Crayon pencils.......

My spirit relaxed in the pause of childhood recollections. It was tranquil.

Ambition.

Sometimes things look so beautiful when they are seen from a distance. I love watching a Red blinking light of an airplane flying across a dark blue stary sky. It gives me a feeling which stretches me to a great height, expands me to an amazing vastness and grooves me to deepen my vision. A chill which rocks my nerve and runs through my blood, tune me into ambition. It is awe inspiring. It plays a mysterious game in my mind. Its magic! It thrills me, when I think of myself on such a height.......forseeing such a wide and extending far world below me.....

Are we happy about it?

Australian gets 3 months in jail for attacking Indian taxi driver.

The nidus of infection in our society is "Jane de yaar, dekha jayega" type of attitude. It is not only with the civilians but also with the responsible authorithies in the government and police force .This DIS -ease has badly crippled the structure and pain is not felt until the symptoms such as" people dying in Australia" grows as a lump in our throat! Operating and applying medication by giving 3 months sentence to attackers cannot erradicate the disease completely ."Responsiblity" is the preventive cure that has to by ingrained in the psyche of all!

"Feel"

Today is 26th january 2010. I saw my cell phone blinking in the morning. My friend texted me a message. He said he is trying to draft a message on Republic day and he is finding it difficult. Much because he dont know how many of us believe in the cause of India. He questioned me whether I really want India to prosper. He conveyed that he would be greatful to us, if I and his friends could tell him " why" do we feel for India?

Leaving aside my morning chores, I started pondering. Why do I feel? What is feeling? What are the things I feel for? Do I feel for India? My instant reply was ,"I dont feel anything". However, I found the answer to be very dry. Ah ! I like him. I like his way of forwarding messages and envoking required thoughts at the right time. Much because I dont know the answer. And lot because he makes fun of these answers.

Then I replied after sometime. Whenever a living object comes in association with either a living or a non living object there is set of conscious subjective experience. According to the functionalist theory of Psychology, one develops an emotion because it servers a particular function. If the function of both the objects are in unison one feels "good" about it, otherwise not. Now, since I am associated with this place, its people, its Tropical climate, its sufficiently strong Economics, its corrupt Laws, its varied Geography, its rich culture, its vast History....... I feel for it.

I feel for India. I strongly feel good about its "culture". I feel good about its varied geography, its monuments and handicrafts, and its heritage. I feel bad about its braindrain, politics, laws and government. It doesnt matter to me whether India prospers or not, but what really matters is the prosperity of underprivileged strata of any society!

Happy Republic day!

An old man's thirst..........

This morning i sprang up from my bed. I had a long to-do list to toil at. I started prioritizing mentally.Other family members were busy doing their daily chores.

My uncle is an old man in his late sixties. He is partially blind due to diabetic retinopathy and suffers from chronic illness. He stays in a room next to mine and was calling loudly. None of us could pay heed to his word as all of us were preoccupied in our own respective work. He kept calling and retired to sleep after sometime. I coughed aloud in my room. He sensed someone nearby and started calling again. I went to his room half-heartedly. He demanded from me a blank sheet of paper like a child. I was wondering why he requires a sheet when he is blind and cannot write! I got irritated, however, I gave him a sheet to soothe his pressing need. I curiously stood near the door inorder to watch what he was doing.

He sat on his bed and lifted his mattress to grab a newspaper and a pen. He chanced upon them by sensing through his touch. In the meanwhile he displayed his sheet. Again he struggled and found the sheet near the corner of the bed. He assembled all his paraphernalia and was striving to split the paper into two halves. One he kept under his mattress for his future use. And again when he lifted his mattress, all paraphernalia got dispersed. He apprehended one by one through his touch and gathered them. He kept the news paper beneath the sheet for support and started writing from one end which he deciphered by sensing. I was amazed by his innocent effort.

I walked back to my room and wrote this piece.

I remember an old saying of a blind poet John milton, " They also serve who stand and wait".

In life one cannot take the credit of capablity at eighteen. But if one is capable at 60 it is ones souls own doing.

3 idiots!

A wave of change is espied in the Indian cinema these days. The novel movie "3 idiots" not only mesmerised the common audience but also raised question in the young minds. A thoughtful approach and the underlying basic philosophy portrayed in this movie is worth appreciating.
More and more cinematics should centre around revolutionary ideas which accelerate the thought process and swells the neuroplasticty at a multidimentional level. 3 idiots is definately going to be trend setter and is a must watch movie.
